Alexander Wang NYFW Spring 2017

Rather than waiting 6 months for our favorite pieces to come out, times are changing and a bunch of major brands – Tom Ford, Thakoon and Tom Hilfiger included – are selling their hot creations real time, straight off the runway! With these “See Now, Buy Now” offerings, grasp the opportunity to purchase Tom Ford’s sheer classy pieces, Thakoon’s feminine lace and chunky knitwear, or grab Tommy Hilfiger’s nautical-themed collection that was made in collaboration with the one and only Gigi Hadid!

As the song Tomboy by Princess Nokia played out in Pier 94, Alexander Wang showcased his collection with flashing lights and revving engines where models donned that ‘post SoulCycle’ looks, walking in refreshing styles for spliced shirtdresses, squba-esque outfits and cropped beach apparel, ending its series with mermaid-like sequined eveningwear. It was a fascinating show as always, coupled with spray-painted cars, a pop-up McDonald’s and Slurpees up for grabs! Definitely like an invitation to party-like-it’s-the-end-of-the-world with Wang.
