This magical exhibit will be curated by Darren Romanelli, Kenny Scharf, Amanda Ross-Ho and Shinique Smith, among other artists, have worked together to provide visitors with a glimpse of the Mickey Mouse of ears-er, we mean years-past, back when he was a simple black and white character in Steamboat Willie (remember thise good ol’ time?) Their work also helps visitors journey throughout each decade to see how he's evolved into the pop culture icon we know and love today.

An anthropomorphic mouse who typically wears red shorts, large yellow shoes, and white gloves, Mickey is one of the world's most recognizable characters today. 
Celebrating its 90 years of Mickey Mouse’s influence on art and pop culture, the exhibition opened on 8th November 2018 up until February 10th 2019. This immersive experience is inspired by Mickey’s status as a ‘true original’ and his consistent impact on the arts and creativity in all its forms. Guests will have the chance to explore the 16,000 square-foot exhibition featuring both historic and contemporary work from renowned artists.

All of the original and historic pieces are featured throughout more than a dozen thematic rooms, each carefully curated and artfully designed to highlight a chapter of Mickey Mouse’s story. Along the way, guests will discover larger-than-life photo moments, including a replica of Steamboat Willie’s vessel, black-and-white immersive scenes from classic cartoon shorts, a transformative reinterpretation of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice from Walt Disney’s masterpiece film, Fantasia, and a recreation of the 1990s All New Mickey Mouse Club set.

The exhibition is divided into several section, from : Hello Mickey! (Introductory of the many facets of Mickey including his playful personality) to : It’s Black & White- an entirely black-and-white world bringing Mickey’s comic strips and cartoon shorts to life. Each of them pays tribute to iconic Mickey Mouse merch through the ages: a Mickey Mouse watch, t-shirt, and plush. We can’t wait to see their unique takes on the true original spirit of Mickey in the coming months!
