SAINT LUCIA, CARIBBEAN

Need to spend some lazy days?

Imagine: a tropical island blessed with what nature offers best; including white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, orchards full of bananas, coconuts, mangoes and papaya trees, and various animals and sea creatures all in their natural habitats. For some, St Lucia is paradise on earth! Spend some lazy days in modern comforts amid a beautiful bay, drizzled with hidden beaches and impossibly photogenic panoramas. With scuba-diving and snorkeling being the obvious, what else is there to see?

@theculturemap - Pitons,Pitons

The Pitons - Some would say that The Pitons are to St Lucia what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. Protruding straight out of the sea, two volcanic plugs become such a majestic backdrop on the island and for good reason! The Gros Piton and Petit Piton are two dormant volcanoes, offering stunning views of the island to those that manage to make it up 2,619 feet above sea level. Feel like a 2-hour hike, anyone?

@theculturemap - Sugar Beach

Situated on the west coast, Pigeon Island is a nature park blessed with marked trails with plenty of historical sites dating back to the 18th century. Explore the remains of barracks, batteries and garrisons amongst the lofty trees, manicured lawns and fine coastal views. Or how about spending a day spotting some beautiful birds? St Lucia does offer plenty of opportunities for locating local species, like Boriel’s Pond!

Situated perfectly between the two Pitons, make sure to bask on the white sandy beaches of Sugar Beach; tanning underneath the warm shining sun and clear blue skies. With phenomenal views from both land and sea, the well-renowned beach is one of the angles one can enjoy to revel the Pitons from. Take a dip in the warm tropical waters, and enjoy a mimosa or two as you lounge and feel the cool breeze on your faces…

Pigeon Island
Diamond Falls

Laced with minerals emanated from a mix of rainwater and volcanism, the beautiful Diamond Falls stands 50-ft high. It beams colorful in its appearance, standing out from the rest of the waterfalls scattered along the island. Even though France’s King Louis XVI could take advantage of its therapeutic effects, visitors are no longer permitted to bathe under it… But if you’d still like to, how about enjoying the mineral-rich waters and mud facials at the Sulphur Springs, instead?

Luxury Accommodation - Jade Mountain - Who doesn’t like a room with a view? The sanctuaries offered at Jade Mountain overlooks the picturesque pair of Piton peaks; every suite coming with a massive infinity pool whose reflections mirror the Caribbean Sea below. Each uniquely designed, it has been constructed with the goal of harmonizing visual elements of near and far. Enjoy many stellar scuba-diving and snorkeling experiences, as well as kayaking, sunset sailing and yachting at the reef-encrusted bays at Anse Chastanet!

Viceroy Hotel - Another overlooking Pitons Bay, the Viceroy Resort offers spectacular views set on Sugar Beach! Enjoy a hot tub and a Temazcal outdoor sauna before you feast a gourmet dinner at the Bayside Restaurant, not forgetting to follow it up with a nightcap at your choice of 3 chic bars. With the two Pitons just 3 km away, Soufriere just 10-minutes away and the Hewanorre Airport less than 30 km from the resort, it is no doubt a convenient choice to make.
