Phoebe Powell (@phoebepowellphoto) The world premiere of Australian Centre for Moving Image’s (ACMI) Wonderland exhibition ran from Thursday 5th April through to Sunday 7th October 2018, located in the heart of Melbourne’s art scene.
Wonderland explores the revolutionary filmmaking, from groundbreaking special effects and animation to evocative storytelling and technological development through moving image adaptations of Lewis Carroll’s seminal works through celebrating the evolution of filmmaking, from the earliest optical toys through to new technologies.
Journey down the rabbit hole into an enchanted world, where expectations are upended and curiosity is your reward. Enjoy the visual interpretation showcases with moving image adaptations of The Mad Hatter tea party, got crawl through to the Hallway of Doors and leads you to the Queen's Croquet Ground.

Also keep a look out for quirky little details on the screen such as Humpty Dumpty, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Cheshire Cat and of course Alice herself hiding somewhere.
